TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment & Cancellation Policy: - In order to confirm a reservation India Safaris & Tours requires a 20% non-refundable deposit immediately on confirmation of all services and balance of payment 90 day's prior to arrival.
- Cancellation outside 90 days will result in loss of deposit
- Cancellation at 90-0 days 100% of total cost
Kindly note that payments may be processed with American Express, Visa, and MasterCard credit cards. Payments may also be paid directly into India Safari & Tours bank account details. India Safaris & Tours reserves the right to cancel all services booked should full payment not be received 90 days prior to date of arrival. Should it be a last minute booking, India Safaris & Tours will allow for 5 days from time of confirmation until payment reaches us before India Safaris & Tours will cancel any services booked. An additional surcharge of 2.5% will be charged by us over the quoted tour cost as credit card transaction fee if payment is made through a credit card. GENERAL NOTES - The rates quoted are subject to change without prior warning, should there be any increases in Park Fees, Fuel, Sales Tax or VAT, third party services, or any other circumstances beyond our control in the regions featured in this quote/booking
- All guests must take out comprehensive travel insurance covering them for personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment.
- In order to comply with international insurance requirements all airline tickets must clearly show the passenger's title, surname, name and initial (as indicated in their passport). As this applies to both scheduled and charter flights we would be grateful if you could provide us with this information at the time of confirmation.
- Your internal flights have been organized by us. While we take the maximum care to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for you India Safaris & Tours Private Ltd. is not responsible for the fitness of the carriers or the safety standards of the carrier company.
- In order to comply with International Insurance requirements India Safaris & Tours can only reserve seats, be it on a provisional or confirmed basis, on both domestic/scheduled or charter flights.
- Please note that fares may increase between time of booking, time of payment and the ticket being issued. Any costs incurred due to amendments will not be borne by India Safaris & Tours.
- India Safaris & Tours cannot be held responsible should airlines discontinue flights on certain routings or change scheduled timetables, resulting in missed connections etc. Should an amendment in a routing or itinerary be necessary we will re-quote you accordingly.
- Dietary Requirements: All dietary requirements can be catered for. When making your reservation, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements that you may have and these will be communicated through to the respective establishment
- Gratuities: Tipping is at your discretion. However management of the establishment will be able to assist with guidelines.
Preferred clothing: - We recommend light cotton tops and trousers/shorts. The best colours to have are khaki, beige and white. Light cotton, long sleeved clothing is recommended for game drives. Please ensure that you pack warm clothing if they are travelling in the winter months as temperatures do drop dramatically at times. A lightweight jacket is recommended for early morning and evening.
Baggage Allowance - The baggage allowance on the aircraft will be one standard piece of hand luggage [max 5kgs] and one piece of standard checked in hold luggage [20kgs]. Soft bags are requested
Health - Many people do not go to India because they fear getting sick. This does not have to happen! Before you go, have the shots your doctor recommends and start taking anti-malarial tablets. Once in India, eat lightly for the first few days, drink plenty of bottled water, and get your sleep.
Food & Drink - Water: Avoid drinking tap water while in India - consumption of bottled water is advisable. Do not forget to check that the cap is securely sealed while buying the bottle and remember to dispose of it properly.
Visas - There is no provision of ‘Visa on Arrival' in India and no fee is charged for immigration facilities at the airports. It is of utmost importance that you thoroughly check your visa requirements before your intended date of travel, as India Safaris & Tours cannot be held responsible should necessary visa requirements not be fulfilled.
Passports
- Foreign national desirous of coming into India are required to possess valid passport and a valid Indian visa.
Changing Money - Delhi and Mumbai International Airport have money exchange counters where you can easily change money. There are money-changing facilities at your hotels. Most of the wildlife resorts across India may not have this facility. It is recommended that you have enough Indian money on you, which you may require for your purchases, tipping, food & tipples and other such expenses.
Equipment
- The voltage supply at most of the hotels across India is usually 220 volts. Most of the plug-in pins in India are different from western made plug-in pins. It makes sense to carry an adaptor and dry cells. Also recommended carrying with you is a torch, padlocks for kitbag, sun cream, small sewing kit & safety pins and spare glasses if you wear them or contact lenses.
Film & Photography
- It can be difficult to get spare films in the national parks / reserves so please ensure you either bring them along or buy them on arrival at the port of entry. It can be difficult to get spare films in smaller towns / cities, so please ensure you buy them on arrival at the port of entry. Photography may also not be permissible at some railway stations, bridges, airports and all military installations. If in doubt, ask. In general, though most people are happy to be photographed but it is advisable to seek permission.
Responsible Tourism - We strongly promote a responsible and careful approach to tourism. We try to minimize the use of plastic, do not encourage you to tip or give any money to any animal keeper or snake charmer or the likes. We also encourage people to know more about the staff of the parks they visit as also about the problems that the animals face regarding conservation.
