ITINERARY - DETAILED ITINERARY


Day 1 - 2 : MUMBAI

Upon your arrival at Shivaji Chatrapati International Airport, Mumbai you will be met by an India Safaris & Tours representative and transferred  to a city hotel.

Two overnights at a city hotel in a twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on room only basis.

Activities include a guided tour of the city covering the Prince of Wales Museum, Victoria Terminal,  Mani Bhavan, and Elephanta Island located about 10 km off the eastern coast of Mumbai, which has a series of caves carved out of the rock between the fifth and eight century A.D. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 3 - ROHET

Today morning you will be transferred to the domestic airport for your scheduled flight to Jodhpur where you will be met and taken on a guided tour of the massive Mehrangarh Fort, and Jaswant Thada.. After this you would be driven to Rohet  which is the starting point for the horse safari.

One overnight at Rohet Garh, a heritage property, in a twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full board basis.

Day 4 : FORT CHANWA

Ride out of Rohet Garh for Fort Chanwa -Luni, visiting Bishnoi dhani enroute. Reach Fort Chanwa before lunch. Lunch at Fort Chanwa. Rest of the day at leisure at the beautiful haveli. Dist 22 km.

One overnight at Fort Chanwa, a heritage property,in a twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation on full-board basis.

Day 5 : WILDERNESS CAMP

Ride after B'fast for Wilderness Camp. Lunch at Dhoondli lake, witness opium ceremony at Dhoondli. Overnight at Camp in Luxury tents. Dist. 24 km.

One overnight in tented accommodation on full-board basis.

Day 6 : CAMP BANKLI

Ride after breakfast from Wilderness Camp, for Camp Bankli. Lunch will be in a typical farm house in traditional style with the local family!. Ride on to camp. Overnight at Camp Bankli in luxury tents. The camp site offers breathtaking sunsets. Dist: 36 kms.

One overnight in tented accommodation, on full-board basis.

Day 7 : CAMP DARI

Ride after breakfast for Camp Dari. Lunch at a water body. Ride traverses through many traditional villages offering a colorful canvas of Rajasthan. After lunch ride to stop by to see the horse temple, where people come and offer horses of clay. Hundreds of horses adorn the temple.  Over at a spectacular campsite on the salt flats, close to the shallow waters. Hundreds of birds for company. Dist. 38 km.

One overnight in tented accommodation,on full-board basis.

Day 8 : CAMP CHOTILA

Ride from Dari for Camp Chotila. This is the longest ride of the programme. Lunch is at village Bhanwari lake. Overnight at Camp Chotila. Dist. Aprrox : 45 km.

Day 9 : ROHET

Ride from Chotila early morning. Breakfast with the local chief of the village. After breakfast ride to Rohet Garh. Lunch at Rohet Garh. Rest of the day is at leisure. Much needed massage, swim . Dist. 24 km.

One overnight at Rohet Garh, a heritage property,in a twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full board basis.

Day 10 - 11 : JAIPUR

On time transfer to the domestic airport at Jodhpur  to catch your scheduled flight to Jaipur.  At Jaipur airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.   

Activities include a guided tour of the city, where history comes alive in forts and palaces.You will do a ride uphill on an elephant to visit the Amber fort.

Two overnights at a city hotel in a twin bedded room with ensuite facilities.Accommodation is on room only basis.

Day 12  : AGRA

You will be driven to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri . Built during the second half of the 16th century, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only some 10 years. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid. You will be met and taken on a guided tour out here. 

On reaching Agra you will be met at the hotel and assisted with the check-in formalities.

Day 13  : NEW DELHI

Today you will be taken on a guided tour to the Taj Mahal, the Itimad-ud-daula and the Agra fort. Later in the evening you will be transferred to the station to board the train, for a three hour run to New Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Two overnights at a city hotel in a twin bedded room with en suite facilities, on room only basis.

Day 14 : NEW DELHI

The activities include a guided sightseeing tour of the old city of Delhi - settled within the remnants of a sturdy defensive wall and spread to the west of the Red Fort built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Also explore some historical sites and the architecture of colonial New Delhi, which is a city of contrasts housing monuments of 13th & 16th centuries midst manicured boulevards and government building, designed and landscaped for the seat of British capital.

Day 15 : DEPART NEW DELHI

On time transfer to the international airport to board your scheduled international flight .
