THE BRUNTON BOATYARD
- A small and intimate city resort hotel
- Recreates the splendour of the city's illustrious past
- Rooms overlook the sea, and so do the en-suite bathrooms
- Own private jetty, which doubles up as a 'café'
Designed and built in the style and principle of the early Dutch and Portuguese architecture of Fort Cochin, the hotel blends very well into the Cochin sky line. All of the Brunton Boatyard Hotel's 22 rooms overlook the sea, and so do the en-suite bathrooms. Dominating by quaint four poster beds in the rooms and little footstools add to the splendour. The lobby is a vault of sunlight and air, framed by arches and overhung with punkahs - enormous, old-fashioned fans of Indo-Portuguese origin. Hotel Brunton Boatyard has its own private jetty, which doubles up as a 'café', overlooking the pool garden and the sea. The History Cafe offers traditional cuisines that have been given ‘a new lease of life'. Some carefully guarded secret recipes from the old families of Cochin are recreated every evening for your pleasure.
