Agra has its share of interesting shopping, with a wide range of arts and crafts. Especially noted for its leather footwear, stone inlay work and gold thread embroidery "zari work", the city jewelers offer attractive jewelry of Mughal designs. The bazaars of Jaipur, the next destination, are a source of endless fascination. The traditional art of tie-and-dye textiles by dexterously knotting the material and dipping it in color to form delicate bandhenj and lahariya patterns, are found in abundance adding colour to the streets. In between the shopping expeditions there will also be guided sightseeing tours of each city including a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal and an elephant ride uphill to the Amber Fort Palace in Jaipur. From Jaipur enjoy an excursion to a nearby village, Sanganer, famous for its delicate fabric designs with floral sprigs and linear and zigzag stripes in earth colours. Sanganer is also famous for producing handmade paper and blue pottery. While in Jodhpur, another city in Rajasthan closer to the desert, walk through the bazaars, famous for intricately carved wooden furniture and leather artifacts, and later visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. With over a decade of liberalisation tucked under its belt, India is also home to the latest in designer wear. From streets of tradition fly to the fashion street of Mumbai, where the tour ends. Get to visit some of the boutiques of the best designers in India's fashion industry and also enjoy a guided tour of the city.
