ITINERARY - DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1 : NEW DELHI Upon arrival at the Indira Gandhi International airport you will be met by a India Safaris & Tours representative and transferred to the city hotel. One overnight at city hotel in twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on room only basis. Day 2 : DELHI / NAINITAL In the morning you will be birding around Delhi with your bird guide. Later in the evening you will be transferred to the Old Delhi railway station to board the train to Katgodam. Overnight in a train by air-conditioned class Day 3- 5 : NAINITAL On arrival at Katgodam you will travel by surface to Nainital .On arrival in Nainital you will be transferred to the hotel. You would be birding in and around Nainital as per the programme decided by the bird-guide. The hill station of Nainital situated close to Corbett National park, but on a higher elevation, is an ideal spot for a birder looking for the Himalayan and sub-Himalayan species. More than 200 species have been reported from the area. Koklass Pheasant, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Lammergeier, Long-billed Thrush, Golden Bush Robin, and White-browed Shrike Babbler are some of the main species to be seen here. Today you will drive to Kumeria , a beautiful dense jungle situated on the north-eastern boundary of Corbett National Park. Your bird guide, who will be traveling with you from Nainital, will assist you with the check-in formalities. While the area is rich in bird-life, the main species to look for here will be Little Forktail, Spotted Forktail, Brown Dipper, Tawny Fish Owl, and Whistler's Warbler. Two overnights at a wildlife resort in twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full-board. Day 8 - 9 : CORBETT NATIONAL PARK You would be driven to Dhikala which is located in the heart of Corbett National Park.Your bird guide would assist you with the check-in formalities. Some of the main bird species to be on the look-out for will be the Lesser Coucal, Tawny Fish Owl, Great-Thick Knee, Pallas Fish Eagle, Lesser Fish Eagle, White-rumped Vulture, Slender-billed Vulture, Red-headed Vulture, Pied Harrier, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Collared Falconet, Long-billed Thrush and Wall Creeper. Two overnights at a Forest Rest House in twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full-board basis, including two game drives daily. Day 10 : UNCHAGAON You would be driven to Unchagaon, where the management of the property would assist you with the check-in formalities. One overnight at a Heritage property in twin bedded room with en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full-board basis. Day 11 : AGRA You would be driven to Agra ,where on arrival an Indian Safaris & Tours representative will assist you with the check-in formalities. Sightseeing tour of Agra city, which will include visits to the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. One overnight at a city hotel in a twin bedded room with an en suite facilities. Accommodation is on room only basis. Day 12-14 : BHARATPUR Today after visiting the Taj Mahal in the morning you drive to Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri where an Indian Safaris & Tours representative will assist you with the check-in formalities. Enroute at Fatehpur Sikri you will be taken on a guided sight-seeing tour. For the time you are at Bharatpur, you will be birding both inside and outside Keoladeo National Park as per the bird-guide's advice. Three overnights at a standard accommodation in twin bedded room with an en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full board basis. Day 15 : RANTHAMBHOR This morning you will board the train for Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambhor) . On arrival at Sawai Madhopur you will be met at the railway station by an India Safaris & Tours representative and transferred to a resort. Two overnights at a resort in a twin bedded room with an en suite facilities. Accommodation is on full-board basis, with four game drives. Day 16 : RANTHAMBHOR Our explorations inside the reserve will take the form of early morning and evening game drives. Day 17 : DELHI Today after your morning excursion inside the park, you will be transferred to the railway station to board the train to Delhi . Reach New Delhi in the evening, where an Indian Safaris & Tours representative will receive you and transfer you to your hotel. After dinner you will be transferred to the international airport for your journey back home. Our services end at 12 noon today.
