Accomodation in this beautiful estate is in 4 elegantly furnished suites. The Planters' Suite, The Rose Suite, The Kanchenjunga Suite and The Simbong Butterfly Room are theme rooms, (the names being suggestive) with their four-poster beds (made of Spanish mahogany) and Toile de Jouy furnishings taking you back in time to the days of the East India Company and other voyages of discovery. Relax in front of a crackling fire or in your private verandah and sit-out that looks out across the Simbong Valley towards the hills of the old royal kingdom of Sikkim. Embroidered bed linen,baskets of fresh fruit and vases of fresh flowers from the garden and hot water bottles heighten your experience. All the menus are according to the select preferences of each guest. The menus encompass a range of cuisine - from interesting local fare and traditional Indian dishes, to exotic South-East Asian delicacies, and a variety of European dishes making full use of the fresh Italian herbs, and salad leaves grown in the kitchen garden Glenburn river valley has forests that are a bird watcher (101 species recorded) and hiker's paradise. A tour of the Tea Estate and tea factory is recommended. Across the river lie the forests and villages of the old royal kingdom of Sikkim, which you can access via a hanging bridge.
